The Porch Dot Com, LLC Appropriate Use Policy


 

The Porch Dot Com, LLC customers, and any users connecting to the network via The Porch Dot Com service, shall not use this service to conduct illegal, abusive, or fraudulent activities, including but not limited to:

  • Abuse of Mail:
  • Spamming: sending out any unsolicited commercial e-mail, or large quantities of un-requested e-mail such that recipients complain
  • Mail bombing: sending out repetitious unsolicited e-mail, or very large size (40K or greater) e-mails to individual e-mail accounts out of malice or with intent to adversely affect a remote system
  • Mail Forging: sending out e-mail whose headers are intentionally forged to prevent the recipient from being able to respond to the sender, or to hide the sender's identity
  • Mail Relaying: using a third party SMTP gateway to forward messages without the knowledge or explicit permission of the system operators
  • Attempting to gain access to a system or user account in an illegal or unauthorized manner
  • Attempting to disable, shutdown or adversely affect the performance of a remote system by abusing features of network protocols including, but not limited to, ping floods, sending oversize packets, SYN floods, source address spoofing, and DNS cache spoofing
  • Attempting by fraud to transfer, modify, or delete Domain Name or IP Address Block information with the InterNIC or any other Registry Service
